East Co

East Co is our brand new programme working with schools, colleges and community centres in east London and connecting them with local dance artists.

We are piloting this project with a 6 week street dance programme led by Boy Blue dance artists, who will be tailoring the programme to the young people in each of our partner hubs at Lister School, Barking Abbey School and New Vic College.
The project will end with a sharing bringing all three hubs together. We will also be inviting all of our East Co dancers to watch A Night With Boy Blue at the Barbican to see the company in action on the big stage. 

East Co will connect, inspire and develop the confidence, creativity and dance skills of all the participants.
The aim of the project is to create high quality accessible and sustainable dance training for young people.  

Following the successes of the pilot, Boy Blue will be seeking to continue and develop the East Co programme in the coming months and years.  Watch this space!
